Majoring in Educational Administration-Edd
University of Arkansas at Little Rock
From Jacksonville, Arkansas
My goals are simple...to be the best professional and educated woman I can be and provide for my family. I loved my work on the CDBG grants at AEDC in Little Rock but decided to return to school and finish my dream of being an educator. I received my Masters in Education in December 2014 and am currently working on my doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Supervision with a secondary certification in Building Level Administration and Supervision. I loving going home from a job knowing I did something to help others. I love my students and my co-workers. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us all!!! I started working for the NLRSD as a Business and CTE Teacher for "at risk" students in 2014. I honestly think God sent me in this direction because I loved it so much and I adored my students and co-workers! I did decide to take a position at LRSD to continue my goals in increasing awareness in lower socioeconomic area schools and the lack of resources they are provided to have an equal chance at academic success. I love my work in instructional technology while consistently looking for grants and opportunities to help students and parents get back into society in a positive light. Send me a message if you have an organization or grant opportunity for "at risk" students. I will happily listen to your ideas! Specialties: CDBG/federal grant writing, serving on non-profit boards, promotion, instructional technology applications/integration, reporting/accountability academic growth evidence, web/graphic design, media buying and negotiation, community involvement, SEO/analytics, content canagement systems, grant writing/awards, being resourceful with educational technology but using it efficiently, budgeting, environmental/facilities management research, inventory, and distribution, press release distribution, sponsorship evaluation and PR value evaluation, technical writing, public speaking, and so much more! I love a good challenge!

Teacher at Little Rock School District
August 2016 - Present
Instructional Technology Specialist at Little Rock School District

Laid off on May 22, 2017 without due process. Instructional technology specialist for K-5th Elementary School. Programs like Gaggle, Google Classroom, ClassDojo, Remind.com, Quizlet, Reflex Math, First in Math, Edline, eSchool, Bloomboard Superuser, Myon, MyLexia, and many other programs associated with helping low socioeconomic area schools get the resources they deserve to have a brighter future. I also assist parents in creating an open and welcoming support/communication system through positive behavior intervention (PBIS) as well as assisting them in finding employment (i.e. tips on resume's, current job openings and listservs of job openings, how to search for employment effectively online, etc.). I serve on our amazing distributed leadership team under the best principal in the district (Mrs. Stephanie Walker). I secured our school a $20,000 Verizon STEM grant last year and plan on seeking additional funding for the outdated and dying technology our school currently attempts to use daily. I believe in my students and their intelligence. I believe that the resources (or lack thereof) at our school severely impede the academic advancement our students deserve and will do my best for these students while I continue working on my research of educational supervision/administration/curriculum. I continue to pursue advancements through educational improvement committees to be a voice for "at-risk" student achievement and equal resources for those students as well as other programs such as distance/online learning (i.e. APEX, Google Classroom, Edutyping, etc.), my ChapinClass.com website for professional development training for educators, Code.org educator - Hour of Code, through my previous skills as a Search Engine Optimization and Google Analytics professional, and research to continue to involve parents, students, community members, and all stakeholders! I love technology and all it can do for our students but I also love working on grants and careers for our students and their families.
