Carly Wheeler
From being born in the United Kingdom, and moving to Saudi Arabia, Germany, to now residing in the United States, I have been able to adapt to frequent changes in various global contexts. With my family members residing in Germany and the UK, I am an independent, responsible & hard-working individual. As a first generation college student, I am pursuing a double major in Kinesiology & Health Promotion at Miami University (OH).
I have invested much of my four years at Miami as a passionately involved member of Miami University's HAWKS Peer Health Educators in which I hold two officer positions. HAWKS Peer Health Educators has encouraged me to grow as an individual through the acquisition of new communication and promotional skills through interactions with fellow students as well as senior administrators.
Through past internships and undergraduate research opportunities with Discover Strength in Minneapolis, MN as well as the Office of Student Wellness at Miami University, I have shown great initiative as an individual and a strong group mentality. Throughout the completion of both internships I was able to bring new insight to group and individualized projects while maintaining an open mind, contagious positive attitude and a consistent drive to improve overall efficiency and value of each task at hand.
