Caroline Benzel
From Rockville, Md.
I am an undergraduate student at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. I am majoring in Biology, and am working to receive minors in Chemistry, Wildlife Conservation, and Art. I have done research in environmental chemistry, and was recently awarded a grant through OSCAR to do research work in Fall of 2014. With the help of Dr. Reid Schwebach, I hope to design a summer-intensive research opportunity that allows undergraduates to participate in research while still gaining credits towards their degree(s). I am also a Cabinet and national member of the GMU Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the Pre-Health Honor Society.
In addition to my academic and societal work, I shadow doctors at an Urgent Care clinic as well as volunteer with Mutt Love Rescue, a no-kill dog rescue.
The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is pleased to announce that Caroline Benzel of Rockville, Md., was recently initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor...
