The Shenandoah Valley Migrant Education program works to empower the diverse youth of the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County communities. By matching up volunteer university students with local elementary, middle, and high school students, the program is able to foster academic improvement, as well as meaningful relationships. The program enables these students to get free educational tutoring twice a week in all sorts of subjects from math & science to reading & writing.
