Chioke Berrien

Im a Atlanta native, that came back to school to better myself for my children, to make my mother proud and to show my friends that anybody can change. Being a single father of 5, I find myself motivated to do better because they believe in me, and Georgia State was the best place for me to achieve this. I started out at the Perimeter level, attending the Decatur campus, but after using all my credits i was awkwardly forced to the Atlanta campus. The transition took me almost a full school year to adjust to, but even though it was frustrating I never once gave up. I keep going, even though I lost the mother of my children the same semester I graduated, I still am here in my senior year working hard to get my BS in Geosciences with a concentration in Urban Studies
