Brett Carrier was recognized for earning an academic award

The Sousa Award is the pinnacle of achievement in a high school band. Introduced in 1955 to honor the top student in the high school band, the John Philip Sousa Band Award recognizes superior musicianship and outstanding dedication. It was created with the approval of Helen Sousa Albert and Priscilla Sousa, daughters of the famous composer and bandmaster.

Marching Pride

As a member of the Marching Pride, I was part of a 100+ member group dedicated to the celebration of music and performance. In the fall of 2021, I served the band as the Vice President until the deployment of our then President. For the remainder of the season, I served as the President. I also served as the Vice President in the fall of 2022.

During my time at Clarion-Limestone Junior/Senior High School, I was a member of the school's show coir, the Sensations. During my senior year, I served as the assistant director of the Sensations. I occasionally ran rehearsals and conducted the group for stand-alone performances.
