Project Management: Archivist for one of the oldest indigenous tribal nations in the United States (Sonoran peoples.)
Collection Management: Collection development, organization, preservation, and condition reporting for primary and secondary source materials and bound volumes. Responsible for the acquisition, accessioning, arrangement, description, cataloging of materials.
Administration: Responsible for the administration, computerization, and circulation of written policies, procedures and reports. Coordinates with the Tribal Board and Center staff to maintain the security of the collections regarding intellectual property rights and access to traditional knowledge.
Museum Support: Developed and administered library and archival special collections for the Cultural Center and Museum exhibits. Creates condition reports for all materials used in exhibit support.
Reference Services: Assisted users in locating and accessing information. Anticipates users needs and directs them to other repositories which may hold contextually similar information. Conducts interviews with researchers to help understand their needs.
Systems Services: Kept abreast of new technologies to ensure best practices for protecting, preserving, and accessing archival collections. Interviews third parties for purchases of new equipment and software applications. Makes recommendations for updating archival systems. Collaborated with Lyrasis, Inc. to create an ArchivesSpace content management system for the Center, focused on underrepresented communities.
Digital Archiving Services: Digital scanning of documents into electronic formats for reference needs, museum exhibitions, and preservation. Ensures that all digital files have met or exceeded FADGI standards. Prepare hard copies for scanning, including loose documents, bound volumes, textual records, drawings, maps, charts, and other printed materials.
Outreach: Maintains a strong relationship with the Tohono Oodham tribal elders, archivists and museum curators throughout the State of Arizona, the Southwest, and other parts of the United States. Identified collections in other regional
repositories which may hold materials of interest to the Tohono Oodham culture. Represents the Center at professional conferences.
Special Projects: Created and maintained Tohono Oodham-specific taxonomy and controlled vocabulary. Created internship program in cooperation with the Tohono Oodham Community College. Recommends third party conservationists as necessary. Assisted in the creation of a disaster recovery plan for the Center. Create and maintain records management plan.
Project Management: Overseeing the successful execution of archival processing, inventory, and assessment projects within designated times and budgets. Managing archives-focused and collections management projects. Establishing efficient workflows, assembling project teams, quality control management, effectively communicating with project stakeholders, carrying out project work, and proving top-level client services. Instructing team members on best archival practices.
Special Projects: Representing the company at trade shows as a presenter, vendor, or other outreach as needed.

Archival Processing: Performed detailed and complex archival processing work following a plan (or guidance) approved by my supervisor or team leader. Perfected the arrangement of records according to established criteria and/or reviewed records to provide input on how a series of records should be arranged. Responsible for the physical and intellectual and description of our collections. Created and updated finding aids and adding collections to proprietary content management system.
Reference Services: Provided written or oral first-line reference assistance and consultation, responding to all forms of inquiry concerning NARAs archival holdings, by using complex finding aid systems and related archival sources, in both
electronic and analog formats. Assisted researchers in navigating complex finding aid systems and establishing connections between related archival sources, regardless of their physical location. Evaluated the physical condition of records in the
course of other duties and alert supervisor or other designated staff to condition problems that limit access or threaten the safety of records; determined and/or carried out the appropriate preservation and/or holding maintenance actions for all record formats. Monitored the reference room in accordance with NARAs reference room policies. Interviewed
prospective researchers; provide applications for Research Cards; and reviewed NARA research room rules and regulations. Provided customer service to researchers in the research room and by phone and e-mail. Instructed researchers on handling
of rare books and manuscripts within the Roosevelt collections; anticipated, identified, and resolved customer service issues pertaining to reference and associated records handling and security issues.

Description and Authority Serviced (DAS) proprietary content management system. Performed copy cataloging and original cataloging of newly accessioned book according to Library of Congress Catalog. Worked with museum staff on annual Valuable and Vulnerable Artifacts inventory. Sites social media contact for annual #AskAnArchivist campaign. Participated in various public programs. Identified documents of significant value to close and add to specially-protected
category. Member of committee conducting primary source investigation into Civil Right Cold Cases as per Public Law 115-426 S.3191. Reparative Description for cultural sensitivity.

Description: Prepared online catalog descriptions of holdings at all levels according to NARAs life cycle standards and Research Services policies and procedures. Developed and implemented moderately complex archival description projects under the direction of an archivist in accordance with NARAs Records Schedule. Assisted in the preparation of finding aids for complex records under the guidance of an archivist. Recently completed extensive preservation project regarding Office of the Counsel to the President.
Records Management: Assisted in Records Management of all record types under the guidance of an Archives Specialist or Archivist. Checked accessioned records for completeness and supervises their placement in the stacks. Coordinated,
monitored, or carried out the physical relocation and shelving of holdings. Updated physical and descriptive data for existing series in relevant databases. At times created physical and descriptive data in these systems for new series.
