Christian Giliberto

I am a senior majoring in philosophy. My philosophical interests are broad, but include ancient Western philosophy, comparative philosophy, metaphilosophy, metaethics, German Idealism, recent French philosophy, history and philosophy of science (particularly of biology, physics), philosophy of history, philosophy of mind and language, and philosophy of law/jurisprudence. My specializations are phenomenology and post-phenomenology, the history and philosophy of mathematics, and Nietzsche, although I am quickly assimilating to ancient Western philosophy and classical Chinese philosophy. I previously studied pure mathematics and computer science at Sarah Lawrence College, and have worked in information security and environmental conservation. I intend to pursue graduate study in philosophy or a cognate field, and/or law, where I would specialize in jurisprudence/philosophy of law, comparative law, and criminal law. Outside of scholarly matters, I enjoy poetry, cooking, wandering in the woods, and kayaking.
