Student at SUNY Oneonta majoring in Mass Communication, minoring in Theatre
Christina S. Coyne is currently a undergraduate college student at the State University of New York, College at Oneonta. She is working towards a degree in mass communication with a theatre minor and concentration in television production, expected to graduate May 2016.
Christina spends much of her time at college working on television shows at the student run television station, The Wire TV, channel 73. She currently work on two shows, Late Night Oneonta and O-Random, where she has been floor manager, technical director, and talent. She will be serving as the Public Relations chair of The Wire TV for the 2015-2016 school year. Christina is also a sister of the Gamma Epsilon chapter of Sigma Delta Tau at SUNY Oneonta and serves at least 24 hours of community service a semester to raise funds for their philanthropies, Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA), Jewish Women International (JWI), and Women for Women International. Christina was the philanthropy chair of Sigma Delta Tau at SUNY Oneonta for the Spring 2015 semester and raised over $600 toward for PCAA, JWI, and Women for Women with the help of her sorority sisters.
As of May 2015, Christina has been the film office intern at the Orange County NY Film Office, located in Sugar Loaf, NY. As the film office intern, Christina helps the office scout new locations to offer to filmmakers in hopes that they will come to Orange County to shoot their films. She has also met with town historians to learn more about these historic locations in Orange County have to offer to filmmakers and producers. Christina will complete her internship in August 2015 when she returns back to college.
Christina has a passion for live production and collaborating with a teams to produce television. She hopes to work at a television studio one day or work in the broadcasting/media world. Christina is a driven, intelligent, and hard working young adult who hopes to make a great impact on the media world one day.
