Christy Pettis

Christy Pettis is 41 years old female. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as in Sociology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Her undergraduate studies incorporated pediatric and adult mental disorders, domestic violence, social problems, and deviance. Pettis is 41 years old female. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as in Sociology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Her undergraduate studies incorporated pediatric and adult mental disorders, domestic violence, social problems, and deviance. 

She is currently in the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. As a graduate student, she has enjoyed the breadth of studies that include counseling, family systems, linguistic anthropology, conflict mediation, effective crisis communication, independent study to strengthen statistics skills, and grant writing. She has been working as a graduate assistant for the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies program since her admission to graduate school in 2012.

She voluntarily serves on a panel of advisers to the Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDHH), a division of Arkansas Rehabilitation Services. In her personal time, she spends time with her family that consists of two sons from a previous marriage, a nephew, and her partner. Her hobbies are diverse; they include scrapbooking, reading journal articles of interest, arts & crafts, reading science fiction books, home and gourmet cooking, and writing. She also enjoys doing arts & crafts, science experiments/projects, and having deep intellectual conversations with her children.
