Volunteer Peer Support Provider at International Association For Premenstrual Disorders
I volunteer for the International Association for Premenstrual Disorders (formerly the Gia Allemand Foundation). IAPMD is the only nonprofit focused on the support, education, and resources for all individuals impacted by Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and Premenstrual Exacerbation(PME).
I am a one-on-one Peer Support Provider in their Women's Peer Support & Crisis Intervention Program. Via chat, email, telephone, and text.
Peer support not only provides insight based on personal experience with various treatment plans but also teach coping skills, physical wellness, proper nutrition, stress management and social support. More than anything, though, they provide a safe space to be heard. We've been there, and don't judge.
