Clarissa Short

I'm a hard working and organized student pursuing a degree in Marketing and a certificate in Event Planning. I use several Microsoft tools, such as Excel and Outlook, to keep myself on track and focused on my goals. I'm a direct admit in the college of business and spend upwards of 10 hours each week with the student organization Women in Business. Some of the things I've done with them are fundraise for the Iowa Women's Foundation, volunteer with local non profit organizations, lead small groups, write and design biweekly newsletters and meet with my mentor in our professional mentorship program. Some of the useful skills I've gained in my work experience include communication, customer service, critical thinking, adaptability and of course patience. In the future I hope to learn more from professionals about how to continually better myself professionally.
