Corey Nevels

My name is Corey Nevels. I attended Ohio University during the 2013-2014 school year, majoring in Marine, Freshwater & Environmental Biology. I am transferring to Coastal Carolina University this year and plan to be there for the duration of my schooling (2014-2017). I am majoring in Marine Sciences with a focus on biology. While I was attending Ohio University, I took the SCUBA course that was offered through the school and received my Open Water Diver certification in October 2013. I then later received my Nitrox certification in March 2014 and am on the track to receive my Advanced Diver certification. After I completed the course, I was offered a teaching assistant position to stand by the instructors and help students achieve their certifications, during my second semester at Ohio University. I became CPR/First Aid certified in December 2014 and am currently working towards my Rescue Diver certification. My love for the underwater world continues to grow rapidly with every new visit and the amazing stories I hear from other adventurers. I wish to learn more about the sea and learn how to protect it and all of its fascinating creatures. My ideal career goals would be able to work with marine mammals.
