Amanda Danley
Joined in 2012 at 19, went to Cannon NM for a year. Won Aircraft Armament Technician of the quarter and the year. Moved to Misawa AB, Japan for three years. Won the "Blue Suit" for the quarter (basically being an "overall airman-meaning doing more than just your job. i.e. volunteering/school). Won Airman of the Year. Won "Below the Zone" against 16 other applicants, making my next rank 6 months early. Moved to South Korea for 16 months. Won Support personnel of the quarter.
In Misawa I completed Airman leadership school, making me eligible to be an official supervisor. Trained all lower ranking airmen in my shop (I love teaching). Had my own troop who I took care of.
Completed an Advanced Wire Repair class.
Volunteered in 2012 to take animals from a kill shelter to safer shelters from 2-4 hours away - saved about 200 dogs and cats.
Was Secretary for a Snowboarding club, Vice President of the Squadron Booster Club, and now President of my current Booster Club.
I love to learn and to teach, I'm very open and transparent, flexible, able to supervise efficiently, creative and a critical thinker.
