• Coordinate design, timing, quality and approval for all new tool builds • Troubleshooting of current press and tooling issues • Review new product designs as it concerns: material selection, dimensional capabilities, assembly, and overall producibility • Engineering changes and repairs in relation to both progression and transfer dies • Research and evaluate new technology • Creating SOP’s, performing risk assessments, and participate in global Bill-of-Process events to determine best practice within the organization • Strong computer skills, proficient with AutoCad, MasterCam, Visi CAD/CAM, Solidworks, Office and Google. • Strong communication skills, responsible for communicating across 3 shifts and multiple departments regarding Engineering changes, quality issues, and any other critical information regarding the department • Work with corporate engineers on part design and team up with Tooling Engineers from multiple divisions for advanced design teams • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to encourage communication amongst labor grades to promote Continuous Improvement • Lead/support multiple TPM Teams
