Dee Springs, a South Georgia-born Music Education major from Waycross, is currently in his 3rd and junior year at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Since the enrollment at ABAC, he has been determined with a bright mind along with strategic proficiency in professional development in both leadership and academic standings. Within Dees efforts, he has performed on both Trumpet and Euphonium in student recitals, the ABAC Concert Band, and ABAC Brass Quintet. He has also been able to attain many offices of leadership with countless hours of service. Some of which include but are not limited to: Associate Justice on the Student Judiciary Board and Traffic Court, Student Assistant for the Department of Music, Music Officer in Planning and Events, and Instrumental Leadership. With these positions, he has executed numerous amounts of tasks that have allowed him to mature on both the social and educational levels. In this spectacle realm, there has been events, parties, debates, and many other comprehensive tasks administered by him, many of which involve Music Mixer Events for the Music Program, Winter After Concert parties, assisting with Music Performance planning, as well as but not limited to assisting in Stallion Day events. I solemnly believe that my fellow peers and instructors will agree and stand by me in saying that those of which I managed were successful.
Off the campus of ABAC, Mr. Springs has serviced in positions such as Vice President of Youth, FEA Chapter Officer and Head Editor, and Youth Bible Study Teacher; some of which, he still has ties to. Prior to ABAC, I will say that I did not know really what to expect, but I knew the goals that I had in store were concrete. With many objectives at mass, Springs wishes to obtain his Associate of Fine Arts in Music degree in the Spring of 2016 from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, with that he plans to continue and attain a Bachelors and Masters in Music Education from either Berry College or Georgia Southern University along with a Doctoral degree in Music Educational Leadership or relative degree. Dee also desires to pursue training in Information Technology and Graphic Design. As for long-term plans, I am strong-minded in becoming a Band Director in Georgia while managing a side business in IT Services and Graphic Designing. Dee believes that If You Be Determined, Be Persistent, and Have Initiative, success is not difficult to master.
Recently, Dee Springs has been very productive after his being elected by fellow peers, Senator of Liberal Arts. Since the election, Springs has spoken to and encouraged many students to get involved while attending ABAC. He is also SGAs Liaison Officer of Social Media and Communications, he has taken a position as Fine Arts Department/Music Program Student Intern, and accepted a Music Scholarship from the ABAC Foundation. By the conclusion of the 2015 2016 school term, as Senator, he plans on going above and beyond to master a successful last year at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College by leaving a legacy of leadership, and by setting the stage for many magnificent leaders to come.
