I also perform account maintenance for our online banking, mobile banking, debit cards and credit cards. I take consumer loan applications and process them until finalization while working with underwriting. I am a notary public.
I started my training in January 2022 without ever having been in the banking industry prior. I caught on quickly and moved through teller training, member services and loan training with ease. Within my first month of being in my branch, I wrote over $50,000 in consumer loans. The next month, I closed over $95,000.
After being in my position for 3 months, I applied for a promotion as an assistant manager to another branch. Normally, employees need to wait 6 months to learn their current roles before being able to change to another branch or department, but I stated my case and was granted an interview with the AVP Branch Manager and the Regional Manager.
I was offered the position for Assistant Branch Manager in March of 2022. I worked in this position from April 2022 until September of 2022. I realized the company was heading into a different direction and I wanted to get more hands on with banking to learn the industry as a whole from a smaller organization. Webster First FCU was changing the way mortgage products were being presented in its branches and was something I would no longer be learning unless I went to Mortgage department. I made the decision to leave at the end of August.
