Currently though, I am responsible for the daily processing in a single department that grows and purifies Diphtheria. I make schedules and request needed materials. I take High-Level management on tours of the facility and explain the processes that occur in each suite to them. I request work orders when something needs to be fixed and I am here to help keep people on track to perform at their top ability All of my years of experience here help to keep them focused on the job and to never take any short-cuts as they could possibly affect the material in a negative way. I am the go-to person for the entire department, including the manager.
Here, I was responsible to know all of the driver's routes (9) and where they need to stop and even pick up products. I also needed to write bills and give credit correctly and be responsible for cash and checks. I would also try my hand at peddling new product or additional product to the customers. This was a daunting job considering a regular driver needed to only know his route.
Here, I learned how to follow a batch record, which is basically a recipe. I would purify and grow different types of salt crystals.I was approached by management and then the owner's about moving to Texas to help run the plants located there which were much bigger and more involved. At this time, I was only 20 years old and I didn't know how to reply to them or what i really wanted to do as my career. Adding the move to Texas, I kindly declined. I do think about how different my life would be today if i had made that move.
