Douglas Everett

My name is Douglas Everett and I am a senior at The University of Findlay. I am from a small town in Northwest Ohio called Oak Harbor. Since being in college I have joined several different organizations on campus. These organizations include Student Government Association, Mortar Board, Marketing Club, and I also played baseball for the university the past two years. I am the Public Relations chair for the University of Findlay Student Government Association and President of Marketing Club. I am a Sport and Event Management major with a minor in Marketing. I have had experience and training in Public Relations as well as Hospitality and Marketing. This past summer, I served an internship with Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky, Ohio. This resort is the largest indoor waterpark in the country and I learned hands-on. By working in the waterpark all summer I learned valuable, first-hand experience. I am confident with my abilities but strive to do be better each day. I aspire to be successful and to make others around me better. I try to inspire those who are not and I do my best to fill the role that I need to be. I feel the need to be in tune to everything around me which motivates me to become a part of numerous activities. As a career I want to work as an event coordinator for a sporting facility. I am fascinated by the type of events facilities put on other than the games that are played there and I want to be the person who handles that. Whether it be in-game contests, concerts, or another type of event I want to be a part of it.
