Douglas Janicke

As a returning adult student, I am in my junior year at Rockford University.  I will graduate with a B.A. in English in spring 2015.  I am looking into studying abroad at Regent's University in London during my last semester.  As a student of language arts and literature, this would be an exciting opportunity in my explorations of the great literary works throughout British history!  After attaining my B.A., I plan to pursue an MLIS and become a research librarian/archivist.

As a musician, I have taught music lessons, owned and operated a print music retail store, and have been a local entertainer in the Rockford area for many years.  Currently, my wife and I perform in an acoustic music duo called the Two of Us. 

I enjoy writing poetry and prose, primarily fiction.  I recently had a short story published in a local book entitled Secret Rockford (www.secretrockford.com).  The book is available at several area locations and at Amazon.com.
