Majoring in I Majored In Communication And Media Studies At Georgetown College, Minoring in My Minor Was History
Owensboro Community and Technical College
From Cloverport, KY
Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Communication at Owensboro Community & Technical College. Here I educate students on the key soft skills our employers desperately need from our graduates. In addition to service in the classroom, I support the institution through faculty leadership on several committee initiatives. Primarily, I serve on accreditation committees including reaffirmation of the institution, individual programs, and the Quality Enhancement Plan. I place a great value on humanities and liberal arts education, but I also strive to support our youth and communities through two additional efforts. First, I serve as the President of the Daviess County 4H Council supporting the value of agriculture to our community and this great Commonwealth. In addition to these valuable skills I also work with FIRST STEM programs as the Kentucky Volunteer Coordinator for the Owensboro area FLL and Kentucky State FTC Championship. My overall career goal is to serve in a position of leadership to impact positive changes which occurs through a transformative educational journey- be it through literature, speech, art, agriculture, science, or engineering.
