Math Tutoring at Independent Contractor
My math tutoring service is a more direct one on one approach in helping students succeed in their mathematical courses and gain a deeper fundamental understanding of math. With the capability of being able to work one on one with a student, I can see exactly where their weak and strong points are in the different problems they have to solve. Knowing this, I am able to help them in the areas they struggle with most. As a result, my clients build a greater deal of confidence in their ability to solve problems that may look complicated or different from what they have seen in the past.

Supplemental Instructional Leader at Kennesaw State University
As a Supplemental Instruction Leader, my job is to manage classrooms and promote learning through the use of guidance and team work rather than direct lecture. I try to give students the confidence to learn by doing examples and helping fellow classmates rather than just listening and watching material being covered. I held sessions throughout the week for extra help and to give students different perspectives and approaches other than what they learn in the classroom on how to tackle different upper level problems. Overall, we believe in the idea of helping a student understand the material well enough to teach it to another one of their fellow classmates.
