Duru Yapici

My name is Duru, I am an international student coming from Turkey and I am a psychology major with a neuroscience minor. In my fall semester of 2024 at Salve, I served as the Diversity Committee chair in our schools Student Government Association. I actively took part in community service and organized the annual Thanksgiving meal at Donovan Manor residence home. I was a part of the Salve volleyball club team and the Multicultural Student Organization; I worked as a student ambassador, and I actively participated in the Leadership Scholars Program. I also worked with EW Education (a study abroad advising company in Turkey) as a volunteer mentor to help with Turkish students college applications. Currently, in the spring semester of 2025, I am still working as a Student ambassador and I am involved with the Student Government, The Multicultural Student Organization(ICDP program), the Leadership Scholars Program and student mentoring. Additionally I earned a spot in the Pell Honors Program starting this semester.
