First Year Seminar Fellow

We are undergraduate students who want to help first-year students make a successful transition to York College while developing their own professional skills. We act as an academic mentor, a model of campus engagement, and a guide to help students find information and services. Through contact with us, first-year students will see a positive example of engagement inside and outside of the classroom, receive support on assignments, and build rapport with a helpful, knowledgeable peer mentor.

Sport Management Student Association

We provide all students at York College with an interest in sport management a channel through which his/her in-class college experience can be supplemented with opportunities to further develop as a professional. We meet people working for professional sports organizations, attend conferences and games, and more. Some of the experiences include the Ivy Sport Symposium in New York, NY, facility tours of Wells Fargo Center, Penn State University, and the Hershey Bears Arena, and game-day assistance for D.C United.

Work Experience

Playground Leader at Blue Mountain Recreation Commission

We oversee 70+ children ages 7-16 at a summer playground. We coordinate events, craft days, and trips. Our most important job is to create a safe and positive environment where children can practice their social skills, develop their creativity, and collaborate with peers.
