In this role I assisted two history professors with the research for their books. I learned how to conduct archival research on various platforms, take notes, and synthesize large amounts of information in a short time frame. At the weekly meetings I was expected to report my findings and explain what made the sources relevant.

Bartender at Civil War Cider Company

Civil War Cider is a local bar. It runs mainly through collective effort of the employees. While bartender one is expected to pour tap drinks, make cocktails, posses knowledge of the products available and wash dishes and maintain an orderly bar. This job was great for fostering personal responsibility and autonomy, as well as building conversational skills.
