Processing Engineer Co-Op at The Dannon Company
Throughout my term I had a focus on process loss improvement and plant continuous improvement. I tested and analyzed loss points in the Minster plant’s processing area to reduce drainage waste for annual savings of over $600,000. I built and developed a quality tracking file was implemented across North American operations of Dannon. I also helped with the improvement of the ordering of milk for the Minster plant that takes in around 2 million gallons of milk a day. I helped to oversee the first trial runs of Triple 0 product in the Minster plant. I dealt with design and procurement of signs for the plant. I also helped with the developed a KPI file for different parts of the plant to track performance. I also dealt with the maintenance department and helped in creating an energy tracking spreadsheet.

Packaging Engineer Co-Op at The Dannon Company
One of the main projects I worked on was to design a Theoretical Plant Loss Model. The model looked to quantify every loss point within the plant operation to provide a benchmark for future progress. Once finished, the project was presented at an international Danone conference and is currently being implemented in plants worldwide. The other main project was creating and designing “The Bucketizer” loss analysis tool. The program takes data that comes from the packaging lines and identifies the loss points within the line and compares it with averages to alert the user if there are anomalies to investigate. I also helped with packaging quality checks by compiling and predicting trends for various quality tests.

Office Worker at Ohio Anesthesia Group
Built and interpreted a price point spreadsheet to help with cost negotiations between the healthcare providers and insurance companies. Upon completion, I presented the results to the Board of Directors, enabling the organization to fully quantify services rendered. I also performed general day to day business operation duties, and through this gained a deeper understanding of the business through interactions with office personnel and their employees.
