The Kennebec Valley Organization is made up of congregations, labor unions, and socially minded individuals concerned with making the Kennebec Valley a place where all its inhabitants can thrive. We recently won adequate funding for Head Start; an increase for the wages of Maine's Home Care Workers; and passage of a bond to build affordable elder housing across the state. The KVO is part of the InterValley Project, a New England-wide network taking on socially charged issues across New England.

Consumers for Affordable Health Care assists Mainers with their health insurance claims and with guidance through a complicated health insurance system. CAHC provides a consumer assistance program whereby anyone with a health insurance question or a question about a health care provider can call and get answers. CAHC helps people sign up for health coverage through the Exchange set up by the Affordable Care Act.
