While I am currently attending a four year college in pursuit of an English degree, I have also completed a correspondence course in art through the Art Instructions School. I am passionate about art and literature in all their forms, and strive for excellence in my writing, artwork, and schoolwork. A picture is worth a thousand words, but only a few words can raise an army of souls to stand behind a cause. This is why the media is so influential and important in enabling us to understand not just the world around us, but to understand one another as well. I am also interested in travel and global interactions. Today, nearly all the nations in the world are interacting, which means everyone needs a better handle on the various customs and ideals of multiple countries. With my minor in Japanese, I am hoping to better understand at least a few of the Asian cultures and experience them first hand. It is my belief that everyone needs to travel to experience other cultures and I have made it one of my primary goals to continue to travel abroad and interact with people from different cultures. How else can we know the world if we do not travel to experience it?
