When individuals experience traumatic events or life stressors, the last thing they want to do is seek professional services or set aside time for self-care. That is where mental health professionals can come in and make the difference between long-lasting suffering and recovery.
As a counseling student studying vocational rehabilitation, clinical mental health counseling, and addiction treatments, I hope to be able to assist underserved populations in recovering from their mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. In the meantime, I work as a Crisis Intervention Specialist serving diverse clients in their times of crisis. From providing therapeutic support to assisting clients through inpatient and outpatient processes, I hope to continue to make individuals feel less like a statistic and promote the importance of mental health.
In my free time, I rescue and rehabilitate animals of all species. I own multiple special needs exotics and have common household pets as well. In addition to this, I enjoy being outdoors and spending time watching documentaries or reading books.

I completed a CIT training during the second week of October 2022.
CIT is a NAMI program that provides the foundation necessary to promote community and statewide solutions to assist individuals with a mental illness and/or addictions. The CIT Model reduces both stigma and the need for further involvement with the criminal justice system. CIT provides a forum for effective problem solving regarding the interaction between the criminal justice and mental health care system and creates the context for sustainable change.
Research shows that communities that prescribe to the CIT Program model, have higher success rates in resolving serious crisis situations.
