Holley McCarty
I am currently a direct-admit student in the nursing program, building on the foundation I gained during my last two years of high school at Butler Tech. My interest in healthcare developed early on through personal experience. Having several health issues within my family showed me how meaningful compassionate and knowledgeable care can be, not only for patients but for their families as well. These experiences taught me the importance of empathy, patience, and strong communication in healthcare settings. One of my biggest inspirations is my mom, who is a nurse. Watching her care for others and support families during difficult moments motivated me to pursue a career in nursing. I hope to become the kind of healthcare professional who helps patients feel safe, heard, and supported during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Through my education and clinical training, I am excited to grow both personally and professionally as I prepare for a future in healthcare.

Student Ambassador
I served as a Student Ambassador for Butler Tech for two years, where I represented my program and school to prospective students, families, and visitors. In this role, I helped give tours, explained class activities and coursework, and shared my experiences as a student. Being a student ambassador strengthened my communication skills and helped me become more confident and less shy when speaking in front of others. It also gave me the opportunity to take on a leadership role and positively represent Butler Tech while helping others understand the value of the programs offered.
