I am a junior in Marketing at Iowa State University. I am a focused individual with skills in leadership, organization, and communication. I work as an editorial contributor for The Lala, which I write articles biweekly to engage college-aged women to inspire and inform. I also hold a position as a dance instructor over the summer and I am passionate about dance and my students. With this position, I utilized my leadership and communication skills to guide a class of up to 16 students. I have communicated in various aspects with students during instruction.
Organization is a top priority for me, I always strive to be prepared. For every dance class, I would form a lesson plan. Time management is key, especially when leading others. With my work in the Interlibrary Loans and Borrowing Department, to fulfill patron requests I oftentimes focus on different tasks that require time management and organizational skills. I also hold a position as an Editorial Contributor for The Lala. I create articles twice a month that unite college women globally and provide a safe and empowering environment.
As the Publicity Chair for Orchesis 1, a modern dance company, I take control of many different projects. From ordering and designing merchandise to delivering press releases. I can effectively structure tasks and perform them by a deadline. Great communication skills are necessary in order to promote our company to the community.
I hope to obtain a summer 2017 internship in Marketing focused on promotions and branding by utilizing strong communication and outreach abilities.
