Undergraduate Student Researcher at Tufts University School of Medicine
The principal research conducted in my lab concerns epilepsy it causes, and how we cure it. I contribute to this mission by conducting mouse surgeries designed to place head mounts on the mouse brain to later read electrical activity on an EEG. Later on, these devices are employed when inducing seizures in mice, and then injecting these same mice with an anticonvulsant drug to see if seizures are suppressed. Additionally, I perform the steps required to image mouse brains and perform data analysis on these images.
