Ivy Hogg

I'm currently an honors student at Iowa State University studying Supply Chain Management and Business Economics. Over the course of my college career, Ive become exceedingly passionate about learning more about the Supply Chain industry. Working in the supply chain industry will allow me to make a noticeable impact within an organization. My intense analytical skills and methodical way of doing things have allowed me to thrive within this field of study. During my time at Iowa State, I've participated in two International Supply Chain programs. Both experiences helped solidify my understanding of how supply chain, procurement, and logistics processes actually operate, and allowed me to analyze and determine possible opportunities to reduce lead times, optimize processes, or to just try something crazy in hopes that it would get product from point A to point B more efficiently. The thing I value most about the supply chain industry is very simple: room to think. I am not one to follow the status quo or to go by the book. I'm passionate about developing new and more optimal ways of doing things, and I feel that the supply chain industry allows me to do exactly that. Im passionate about learning more about the procurement and planning process, and Im willing to work hard to excel within a company that shares my values. Im a fast learner, effective communicator, and an active team member. Im eager to channel these characteristics toward a successful career in the field of Supply Chain Management.
