Jordan Williams was recognized for earning a scholarship
In honor of their 50th class reunion, the Class of 1966 established an annual scholarship to be awarded to an undergraduate student, with preference for a full-time student with at least a rising sophomore standing. The preference is for a student with demonstrated financial need, in good academic standing, has notable academic achievements, and has community and school involvement. This Scholarship is awarded in the spring semester, with disbursement of funds in the subsequent fall term. Students must enroll in the subsequent fall term to receive the scholarship funds. The recipient is to be chosen by a selection committee comprised of members of the class of 1966, with assistance from University staff in Alumni & Development, Student Development, and Student Financial Services. Four to six finalists will be selected for interview. An essay may also be required for submission.

The John May Scholarship: An endowed scholarship fund established by gifts from friends in honor of the late John May, Millikin Class of 1965. John was founder of the Decatur, IL accounting and financial services firm May, Cocagne, and King PC. During his Millikin tenure, John was a standout athlete and campus leader whose positive impact was felt campus wide. His accomplishments on the field of athletic competition were many and, as president of his fraternal organization, Johns leadership inspired many others to follow his example. Income from the endowment fund is to be awarded annually to a Millikin student whose conduct reflects the strong leadership qualities exemplified by John May during his lifetime.
