Jacquese Woodruff
I am a second-year Doctor of Pharmacy student at Manchester University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
I am currently a Pharmacy Intern at Dupont Hospital where I am responsible for maintaining confidential reports, entering, and retrieving data utilizing the computer system, preparing intravenous medication, including but not limited to, hyperalimentations and antibiotics, prefilling patient cassette drawers with a 24-hour supply of unit dose medications, procuring and filling requests for pharmaceutical supplies, and delivering supplies to nursing units.
At Manchester University I was the ISHP Student Liaison, and American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) President for 2023 - 2024.
I enjoy reading books, working out, journaling, and traveling to and sightseeing new places on my bucket list with family and close friends.
Before pharmacy school I was a dedicated employee with PharMerica for 14 years, working in a long-term care pharmacy in a leadership role, IT, and as a plan analyst. Prior to PharMerica, I worked in Hospital and Industry.
My future goals would include studying to obtain Juris Doctorate and Master of Public Health Policy and Management degree. I am looking to obtain a position where I can advocate effectively to address public health policy problems and help influence policymakers to address and help build relationships between the legal and health systems.
