Dr. Jamal Feerasta is the lead faculty in the Hospitality Management Program. He joined UA in 2000, after teaching at the International Hotel School in Canberra, Australia, and at the hotel school in Auckland, New Zealand. His background is in hotel operations and food service management.
Feerasta brings to the classroom solid professional experience, having worked with Charley Browns, Marriott Hotels, Holiday Inn, Pearl-Continental Hotels and Serena Hotels & Resorts. His international education background includes developing curriculum in hospitality and tourism management for the University of Central Asia - Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. He conducted seminars and workshops in China, Jamaica and Pakistan. Feerasta is an active board member of various professional organizations.
