James Baer, Au.D.

Dr. Baer is an audiologist who grew up in western New York State. He began teaching in graduate and undergraduate programs in Audiology and Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2006. Professionally, Dr. Baer's research interests include facilitating communication for individuals receiving palliative care through the use of affordable technology such as personal amplifiers. Additionally, Dr. Baer is interested in the impact of hearing loss on communication disorder assessment processes. Most recently, Dr. Baer has developed interest in Auditory Processing Disorder evaluation and treatment specifically in facilitating better interprofessional communication and dialogue.
