Janice Martinez

Janice Martinez, a Special Education Resource Teacher, has been elected to membership in The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nations oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Membership is by invitation only and is extended to the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of graduate students. Janice has worked in the education field for over a decade, bringing extensive experience and dedication to supporting diverse learners. She recently earned her Master of Science degree in Learning Design and Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, further strengthening her expertise in instructional design and educational innovation. Her background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Counseling, as well as ongoing studies toward a second masters degree. Janice also holds the prestigious Board Certified Advocate in Special Education (BCASE) credential from the National Association of Special Education Teachers. Committed to lifelong learning, Janice is continuing her educational journey with plans to pursue a doctoral degree in education, specializing in Special Education Leadership. Her goal is to further advocate for inclusive education and lead initiatives that empower students with diverse needs. Throughout her career, Janice has demonstrated a strong commitment to student success, inclusive practices, and professional excellence. Her election to Phi Kappa Phi recognizes her outstanding academic achievements, leadership, and dedication to advancing the field of education.
