Jasmine Beltran

As a mental health technician, it is my responsibility to provide and document patient care and observe patient behaviors based on the nursing process, established hospital policies and procedures, unit specific policies and procedures, and standards of care/practice. I also assist in the coordination of nursing/psychiatric care provided in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team. Finally, I function as a safety champion and milieu manager and serve on the MHT Council.

As a substitute teacher, I assume the duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies. This includes leading instruction in the classroom by conducting the teachers lesson plans, building positive relationships, and assigning reasonable tasks and homework. I motivate students to learn and encourage classroom participation. I create an environment thats conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. I adapt to the various learning styles of students and frequently must develop lesson plans, as well as create, administer, and grade tests and assignments.

The Waffle House management program has sharpened all of my skills as well as taught me new ones. It is my responsibility to run an entire restaurant- that includes staffing, banking, accounting, inventory, and budgeting, all while making sure the restaurant is in a daily increase for sales. Along with having the responsibilities from the business aspect, I am also required to be in a hands-on productive role cooking and cleaning.
