Jason Wasserstrom was recognized for winning a scholarship

Mike Pollock Sports Information Scholarship This scholarship was established through the gifts of friends and family of Mike Pollock. The Mike Pollock Sports Information Scholarship is awarded to a student worker in the Sports Information Office. The student should exemplify all the ideals of dedication and loyalty as Mike did during his years at Miami. Mike Pollock was a 1981 graduate of Miami who worked in the Sports Information Department during his college years. Upon graduation, Mike was employed with Marathon Oil Company. He was killed in an automobile accident in February 1984.

President: Managed weekly chapter, executive board and member meetings Directed executive board members to ensure all duties are being fulfilled in an efficient manner Represented our chapter at all University, Interfraternity Council & National meetings and events Oversaw a chapter of 50+ members Head of Recruitment: I served as the leader of the recruitment committee to manage outreach to any potential new members of our organization, while also serving as a member of our executive board. I also lead all recruitment committee meetings to discuss if potential new members fit the morals, goals and ideals of our organization. This included managing all outreach like cold calls, one-on-one meetings and interviews that were conducted by either myself or members of the committee.
