Oboist for the OCHS band under the direction of Brad Rogers, then David Centers. Also a flute section leader for the marching band. Section leader for 1 year. Member of the marching band for 4 years. Freshman year: 2nd chair bottom band because I started oboe that year. Sophomore year: Covid. Top band 2nd chair to the senior oboe player. Junior Year: 1st chair top band Senior Year: 1st chair top band Achievements: 1. All-State 1st chair top band senior year 2. Chris Combs spirit award (only given to one person each year. Awards positivity and a helping spirit) 3. Level 10 (submitted assignments such as scales and music. Earned all-state and gave a recital in order to reach level 10) 3. Rising Star (Junior year) 4. Most improved (sophomore year)

Attending practices and meets. My score helped my team qualify for the world tournament senior year even though I wasn't even supposed to be at state. Without my score, the girls would not have qualified, and the team would not have gone. I was out almost the whole season because of an injury. When I was healed I attended all practices, and so the coach removed someone who had not shown up and put me into that state tournament, my first since elementary school.

Responsible for attending all games, knowing all parts well, memorizing music, recording memorized music and submitting, recruiting, and encouraging fellow instrumentalists.
