I am very community minded person. My background has allowed me to develop a strong empathy and appreciation for wide ranging perspectives. Although I have developed a comfort in taking on leadership roles, I believe in a collaborative spirit and rely heavily in trusting a full team effort in anything I choose to be involved in. Outside of my paid experience - mainly in fields that have been jobs to survive while I pursue my passions - I have been proud to volunteer for a variety of candidates and causes. One example is raising funds and bicycling long distance to benefit the National MS Society. I developed skills in sponsorship letter writing and public outreach. I have volunteered with various campaigns including Aaron Vega for State Rep, Ed Markey for U.S. Senator, Alex Morse for Mayor, and currently Mike Lake for Lieutenant Governor. My roles in these experiences have included knocking on doors, making direct phones calls to voters, collecting signatures, helping raise funds and publicly speaking on behalf of a campaign. I am unafraid to take on new challenges and am always ready to learn from those who can help me become a stronger advocate for the people of my community. In the long term, I have a great confidence in my writing abilities, and wish to use that skill in the endeavors that are in my future.
