Jennifer Murray

I am a stay a home mom...a mother of two. I am married and live in a small village called Norwood. I have lived in Northern New York my whole life. I am currently finishing up my Early Childhood degree. I started college right from high school and changed my mind a lot on what I wanted to do. I started in Liberal Arts because I had the plan to transfer to another college. Then I switched to Early Childhood. I then changed again to Business Administration and graduated with an associates degree. After graduation, I had a few different places of employment until I worked at SUNY Potsdam Child Care Center. I started there as a floater. I worked in any room that was needing assistance. I then got the position as a Toddler One Assistant. I worked with at most 8 one year old children. While I was there, I did get my CDA (Child Development Associate), which is like a degree but needs to be renewed regularly. I left to become a stay at home mom plus I was expecting my second child. When my son turned one, I decided to finish my Early Childhood degree since that was the field I found I really enjoyed. So I came back part-time to finish the last few courses I needed. Once my son starts school next year, I will start looking to work again and I will have this degree to help with that.
