Hello! I am a rising Senior at Colby College, where I major in Psychology and minor in art. This upcoming academic year I will be the president of the Student Programming Board and Lab Manager of the Social Development Lab. I am particularly interested in social and abnormal psychology. I have a very strong educational background in science, and a strong work background in business. When I am not in the lab or on the field I love to create art, sing, act, write, talk to new people, and explore. I have a lot of experience working in the lab and on the field. Over the years I have learned the most effective ways of collecting and analyzing data, and I am proficient in both Microsoftt Excel and RStudio. I have been praised by professors for my scientific writing, and I consider my ability to effectively communicate data through text one of my greatest skills. Working at RIDOT I got my LEAN certification and became the head intern for all LEAN related projects. I was the head intern on the LEAN Physical Alteration Permit Application process. Afterwards, I created the Rhode Island LEAN 101 Class that is set to be rolled out statewide. During my work at RIDOT I also became proficient in Microsoft Visio. Working as the Publicity Chair at Colby allows me to use both my skills in Psychology and Art. An aspect of social psychology I found very interesting was advertising, specifically the methods companies use to make the general public think a particular way about their product. I am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere, which allows me to tactically create positive and exciting Colby content. This upcoming year I will be taking on the role of President of the Student Programming Board. As President I oversee all SPB activities including large concerts, off-campus activities, on campus events, and more. I will also be taking on the role of Lab Manager of the Social Development Laboratory. I will be overseeing data collection and entry for a long term study currently being conducted by Professor Raag.
