I was responsible for working and maintaining Camp Thunders archery range. I taught the fundamentals of archery and supervised archery classes and practice sessions. In addition, I managed my assistants and ensured the safety of all campers and other personnel present on or around the range by making sure that everyone respected and followed the established BSA safety guidelines.
I was the Area Director for the Outdoor Skills section where we taught the Camping, Cooking, Orienteering, Geocaching, Pioneering, and Wilderness Survival merit badges. I was responsible for independently teaching several classes, managing other counselors, reviewing scouts paperwork, and requisitioning supplies for my area.
