Jessica Bastian
From Peoria, Ill.
Jessica Bastian is an informational professional. An educator, administrator and aspiring librarian she is passionate about teaching information literacy to minority and first generation college students. Jessica has a MS in politics and government with a concentration in global politics and culture from Illinois State University and is finishing a MLIS in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois (August 2014). Jessica is an adjunct faculty member at Illinois Central College, she teaches American Government and State and Local Politics. Jessica’s interests include digital libraries, emerging technology, and service learning. She is a member of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, Community Leadership School class of 2014.
Jessica has just accepted her first professional position as the Digital Services Librarian at Illinois Central College. She starts in June 2014.
