Work closely with providers while they perform ER duties and assist with all medical documentation. Observe medical decision making of providers and ask questions when appropriate. Increase efficiency and productivity of the providers in the ED through documentation, making phone calls, and gathering patient information. Train new scribes to adjust to the electronic record and emergency room setting. Audit scribe charts to improve quality and give feedback.

Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of Alabama Biology Department

Serve as research assistant under Dr. Ryan Earley investigating animal behavior. Currently working on studying gonad development of the hermaphroditic fish, the mangrove rivulus. This has included designing and building incubators for eggs, collecting temperature based data from incubated eggs, and studying the gonad histology of pre-determined various ages of the hatchlings. Previously conducted experimentation evaluating the personality and fitness associated with these fish.

Educate students on the University of Alabama campus as a Project Health Ambassador intern regarding various health topics each week through tabling encounters.
