Jessica Williams

Hmmm....where to start???? My name is Jessica Williams. First and foremost I am a mother and a wife. I have been married to Mikie Williams since April 4, 2003. We have three kids; Blake, Mason, and Chloe. They are my everything. I do what I can to be a good mom, and I make the decisions that I find to be best. Sometimes they may not be right, and sometimes I do things backwards, but I always make sure my kids are taken care of. I am a student at University of Iowa-School of Social Work, and I am very excited to receive my BSW (Bachelors in Social Work). I earned my Associate of Science in Human Services from DMACC in May of 2012 and I am ready to continue on my educational journey! "The primary mission of the social work profession is to enhance human wellbeing and help meet the basic human needs of all people, with a particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty." I have a big heart and I will do all I can for those who I love, sometimes to my disadvantage. I can find the good in everyone, looking past almost any issue, and I am purely genuine. I always make sure to respect everyone, and absolutely do not intentionally hurt anyone. As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let us down, probably will. You'll have your heart broken and you'll break others' hearts. You'll fight with your best friend or maybe even fall in love with them, and you'll cry because time is flying by. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, forgive freely, and love like you've never been hurt. Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances. you just have to live life to the fullest, tell someone what they mean to you and tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, fall asleep watching the sun come up, stay up late, be a flirt, and smile until your face hurts. Don't be afraid to take chances or fall in love and most of all, live in the moment because every second you spend angry or upset is a second of happiness you can never get back.
