John Tian

During my time at the University of Iowa, I worked very closely with student organizations. While serving my term as President of my fraternity, I implemented many initiatives that helped motivate and inspire members to become more active. I also gained many experiences serving as the Vice President of Programming for the Multicultural Greek Council. While in that position, I wrote the initial plan for the first FSL Saturday of Service and planned multiple cross-council events ranging from areas of mental-health awareness to multicultural showcases. I am a motivated individual, who strives to create a more inclusive environment for my peers. I respect individuals of different gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, and culture. By remaining coachable, and staying true to my values, I believe that I can do my best to succeed in any position I am placed in.
