John McGhee

Master Sergeant John Patrick McGhee is the Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC) of Water Fuels Systems Maintenance (WFSM) Operations, 106th Civil Engineer Squadron, 106th Mission Support Group, 106th Rescue Wing, Grabreski Air Base West Hampton, New York. Master Sergeant McGhee manages the daily operations, training, morale, discipline, and the welfare of 7 craftsmen postured for worldwide deployment. Master Sergeant McGhee graduated St. Raymond's high school for boys in 1996 and entered the Air Force in 2006. Soon after entering basic training at Lackland AFB, TX, completing technical training at Sheppard AFB as a WFSM Apprentice in 2006. Master Sergeant Mcghee served on active duty in New Mexico Holloman Air Force Base 2006-2010 and as a guardsman in New York from 2010 to the present time. Furthermore, Master Sergeant McGhee deployed three times in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM and once as a craft leads for EAGLE FLAG Exercise at Joint Base McGuire New Jersey. Prior to entering the Air Force, Sergeant McGhee worked for the New York City Transit Authority as a Bus Operator. Post active duty service, he joined the New York City Police Department. He is currently on state active duty military orders in New York City Joint Task Force Empire Shield, where he is the Military Liaison officer at the World Trade Center. He liaises between NYPD, FDNY, PAPD, New York State Troopers, FBI, Secret Service, Homeland Security, Brookfield, Silverstein and Allied Universal to communicate activities, share information to achieve the best utilization of resources to reach the common goal of keeping the public safe. Going above and beyond, Master Sergeant McGhee joined the Brentwood Long Island Volunteer Fire Department in March 2018. Lastly, Sergeant McGhee is an esteemed mentor and gives a minimum of three lectures a year at his alma mater St. Raymonds High School for boys in the Bronx NY.
